MARK McLAUGHLIN
Editor Conjuring Up The Urbanite

And here he is again!

Mark McLaughlin writes articles, poetry and fiction – science-fiction, fantasy, funny stories, horror stories, and much more. He has given readings of his work nationwide and in England.

Mark is one of the three poets – the others being Rain Graves and David Niall Wilson – in the new poetry collection, The Gossamer Eye. The collection is a 270-page trade paperback, published by Meisha Merlin. Mark’s section includes a thirteen-part poem entitled “Speaking Parts,” which retells the tale of Frankenstein’s Monster – from the point-of-view of his pilfered components. The book can be ordered here.

Mark’s writings and artwork have appeared in more than 425 magazines, anthologies and websites. These include Galaxy, Ghosts & Scholars, The Last Continent: New Tales Of Zothique, The Best Of Palace Corbie, The Best Of The Rest 2 and 3, The Best Of HorrorFind, and The Year’s Best Horror Stories (DAW). Later this year, Mark’s solo poetry collection will appear, entitled Professor LaGungo’s Exotic Artifacts & Assorted Mystic Collectibles. He is also the editor of The Urbanite: Surreal & Lively & Bizarre, which recently made the transition from magazine to annual paperback anthology. News on that development will be appearing shortly on this website!
